The Friends had their most successful day yet with this year's Spring Gardens Open with proceeds 50% higher than any previous Gardens events.
Apart from programme sales, funds were also raised from cream teas, plant and manure sales, entry to Topcliffe Mill and a generous donation of 10% from picture sales at the Art Group Exhibition in the Village hall.

The event was greatly helped with a warm and sunny day and, as usual, the garden owners had put in an enormous amount of effort to open their gardens, which was greatly appreciated by all the visitors.
The Friends are most grateful to the garden owners for the opportunity to be able to hold the Spring Gardens Event.
