Anyone can be a 'Friend'. You do not have to be a member of the congregation, but just be concerned that the Church should be there and stand at the heart of the community.

What do the Friends do?

The Friends' money is spent only on the fabric and furnishings of our Parish Church. It does not go into church funds. Decisions regarding the spending of monies are taken by the members.

Since 'The Friends' were established in 1984 more than £85,000 has been raised by way of subscriptions, donations and from events organised by the Committee.

Much of this money has been paid to the Meldreth Parochial Church Council to help meet or contribute towards the cost of specific projects to improve the fabric and ambience of the Church.

The most recent donation has been £14,500 towards the cost of new heating system. Other notable projects in recent years have been £16,000 for restoration of stained glass windows and another £16,000 for masonry repairs.
