The Friends had a good day with this year's Spring Gardens Open in mainly dry but blustery conditions and receipts were good, raising well over £900. A total of eleven gardens were open, including four in Chiswick End and nearby, as well as Topcliffe Mill, where the photographic and historical display proved to be popular. Teas were also served which contributed to the funds raised.

The Friends are once again indebted to all the garden owners for their hard work which not only encouraged visitors to the village and church but also increased the Friends' funds when work is being reviewed to deal with some of the more important items of church fabric maintenance.
