The Car Show was very successful this year, being held in splendid weather with the churchyard almost full to capacity, with 48 cars dating from 1905 to 1995. All but six cars were new to the event and the number of people attending was greater than last year, with profits by increasing 40%
New to the event was the Veteran 1905 Argyll plus two Model T Fords, a Tourer and Hackwagon, a range of MGs from 1933 to 1995, various Triumphs, some specials, Austin Healeys and Jaguar XK 120. At least four cars were up to Concourse d'Elegance standard – 1953 MG TD, 1964 MGB Roadster, 1967 Triumph TR4A and the 1967 Rolls Royce Phantom V which won a class in Australia in 2004 and has just returned from Norway with another class win.
Judging by the popularity of the day we plan to hold another event early next September.
