On a brilliant spring day, with temperatures well over 20°C, this year's event was as good as our best year in 2005, when income was well over £1000. In total, eight gardens were open, all within walking distance of the church and they all looked attractive in their different ways. Topcliffe Mill was open again and featured a display of pictures and information about Meldreth by the Meldreth Local History Group. We are most grateful for both the hard work and willingness of the garden owners in making our event so successful.

From our publicity, Radio Cambridgeshire heard of the event and did an interview with Ruth Mills. This was broadcast on the morning of the event and attracted some new visitors. We also sold extra teas to some people playing tennis nearby as well as a couple of cyclists who were riding past!
