With their return of the Hot Club of Cambridge, an audience of almost 70 enjoyed an evening full of reminders of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli and their Quintette du Hot Club de France. The line-up of the group was slightly different, with lead guitarist John Wheatcroft, who both teaches and plays in a wide variety of musical styles and has played on world tours with a number of artists.

Iain Mann from the USA, who has taught music at Cambridgeshire schools for the last six years, gave a superb performance again with his violin playing and vocals, while the rhythm guitars of Chris Marriott and Will Ballard and bassist John Trowsdale ably held the group together.
