Working with Wildlife

by Rob Mungovan

7:30 pm, Thursday 21st March 2013
Meldreth Church Meeting Room

Rob Mungovan, who is the Ecology Officer at South Cambridgeshire District Council, gave a fascinating illustrated talk about his activities in the area. The many ways in which he has been involved are shown by his development work with the River Mel and Shep restoration groups to providing expert witness guidance where the habitat of great crested newts had been disturbed by development.

The size of developments Rob has been involved with range from the fairly small Stockbridge Meadow in Melbourn to the new development at Trumpington Meadows, which will include the River Cam corridor between Grantchester Road and Hauxton Mill. This will create a countryside park and a corridor of public access following the River Cam from Hauxton Mill to Cambridge City Centre.
