Claire and Toni Cann, the internationally renowned duo-pianists, produced a virtuoso performance of nine works at the concert held in Holy Trinity Church, Meldreth during the evening of 28 June.

The programme ranged from the works of Bizet and Rachmaninoff through Gershwin to their own composition of four movements from the Suite de Concert. In each case the audience thrilled to the wonderful playing of the Twins which was accomplished, amazingly, without the need for musical scores.

The evening commenced at 7.30 and finished at 9.30 with a much demanded encore performance of "Chopsticks". Following that the pianists were presented with bouquets by John Hinton and Joseph Brennan, after which Claire and Toni mixed with the audience in order to sign programmes and copies of their CDs.

A thoroughly enjoyable and successful evening was had by all and which contributed meaningfully to the funds of the Friends of Holy Trinity Church as the Twins gave freely of their time for this performance and the Committee wish to record their appreciation of this fact.
