Eva was born in an Austrian concentration camp in 1945 and she will recount her mother's horrendous 3 week journey in open coal trucks to Mauthausen Concentration camp where Eva was born in the open with no medical assistance.
After the war Eva and her mother Anna returned to Prague, where Anna married Eva's stepfather in February 1948. In the same year they emigrated to the UK and settled in Cardiff. Eva married an academic lawyer in 1968, has two sons and has been living in Cambridge ever since.
The talk will be without an interval with wine and nibbles available in a social afterwards.
